Qualifying School for 2017
Welcome to the Nordic Golf League Qualifying School for the 2017 season!
First Stage date and venues
The first stage will be played at three venues in Sweden on 5-6 October.

NB. It is not possible to request a venue.
Conditions and format of play
The Qualifying School is played over two days as three parallel 36-hole events without cut. The Qualifying School is played using the same rules & regulations as all Nordic Golf League tournaments.

Entry for the Qualifying School must be registered in the Nordic Golf League online entry system no later than Thursday 21 September at 12:00 (CET).
NB. Entries by other methods will not be accepted.

The entry fee for the Qualifying School is 2800 SEK incl. 6 % VAT. A tournament yardage book, rental trolley and range balls are included in the entry fee.
Withdrawals from the Qualifying School must be made by sending an e-mail to Nordea Tour at the following address: email@example.com. Players that withdraw after the entry deadline will have to pay a fee of 900 SEK incl. 6 % VAT.
A maximum total of 234 players can participate in the Qualifying School i.e. 78 players at each venue. Players will be spread evenly between the three venues according to handicap.
The order of participant selection is made as follows:
1. The hosting venues each have 2 wild cards.
2. Players sorted by handicap regardless of nationality.
List of participants
When the entry deadline has passed and the field selection is made, the list of participants and reserves will be published on the Nordea Tour website.
A list of reserves, i.e. non-selected players, will be published on the Nordea Tour website. As soon as a withdrawal is received a reserve will be contacted. When the confirmation deadline expires reserves will be contacted via sms/telephone. If a reserve does not answer our call, or sms within the given time, the player loses his place on the reserve list and contact will be made with the next player on the list. Reserves cannot request a venue.
Registration must be made no later than 18:00 (CET) on 2 October by paying the full entry fee online. If a player fails to register he will be removed and must pay a fee of 900 SEK incl. 6 % VAT.
Players that are on the list of participants may play one practice round free of charge at the venue where he will play the Qualifying School. When the list of participants is published the specific guidelines for practice rounds at each of the venues will also be available.
Withdrawal of play during the Qualifying School
Players have the right to withdraw from the Qualifying School between rounds if the Tournament Director is notified before the starting list for the next round is published.
NB Players that does not show up for a stipulated round must pay a fee of 900 SEK incl. 6 % VAT.
After 36 holes of play, players tying for first place as well as players tying for the final qualifying position on each of the venues shall have their final positions determined by a hole by hole play-off. For all other positions the ties are decided by the mathematic method.
Number of spots to Final Stage
A maximum total of 78 players will qualify to the final stage, distributed as follows.
• Denmark: 22 players
• Finland: 8 players
• Norway: 6 players
• Sweden: 42 players
The exact number of players qualifying from each first stage venue in Sweden is announced before the start of the first round. In the event of a tie for the final stage spot(s), a hole-by-hole play-off will be played to determine the final positions.
If a player who is qualified for the final stage chooses not to play, that spot is not available for any player outside those who are qualified.
Players that fail to qualify for the Final Stage will be ranked and have priority over non-ranked players inside category 14 for Nordea Tour tournaments in 2017.
Final Stage date and venue
The Final Stage will be played over three days (18+18+18 holes), with cut after 36 holes for the leading 70 players + ties, on 13-15 October at Skjoldenæsholm Golf Center (RTJ course) in Denmark.
There is no prize fund in the Qualifying School.

- Roar Hagen har avlidit
Roar Hagen har avlidit
Roar Hagen, Tournament Director på Nordea Tour och medarbetare på Svenska Golfförbundets kansli, har gått bort efter en tids sjukdom.
Roar hade ett stort engagemang för golfen, först på klubb- och distriktsnivå sedan på Svenska Golfförbundet där han arbetade med banvärdering, ranking och tävling. Han hade domaruppdrag i Sverige och utomlands och dömde både Nordea Masters på Bro Hof Slott Golf Club och Swedish Challenge hosted by Robert Karlsson i somras. Roar var också en uppskattad Tournament Director på Nordea Tour.
År 2013 blev Roar den första svenska mästaren i golfregler och fick som pris döma Olympiagolfens final i Abu Dhabi. Han tog senare plats i Svenska Golfförbundets regelkommitté.
Roar var medlem i Bro Hof GC och en duktig golfare med handicap 9,2 och var utbildad civilingenjör.
Våra tankar går till hans fru och tre barn. Roar avled den 11 oktober 2016. Han blev 51 år.
