FINAL RESULTS


The swedish team

The home nation, Sweden, will meet England in the finals on saturday. The tee off for the first of the two foursomes in the finals are played at 8:40.
In the match of third place, Spain is meeting Italy.

The match play has started and the quarter finals are finished. The four nations that are compeeting in the semi finals are Spain v Sweden and Italy v England.

The second day and the qualifying rounds are played. Denmark and Italy played very well, +1 in total. Read more....

Österåkers Golf Club is located on the beautiful Swedish East Coast side, 30 km north of Stockholm. Communications are excellent from Stockholm. The city of Åkersberga is situated on the waterfront and offers great opportunities for sailing and other activities.
The golf course, designed by architect Jan Sederholm and the famous Swedish hockey player and golfer Sven Tumba has the character of a real Championship course; partly hilly and varied with fast greens, soft hills and challenging ruff.

It is located in an area of great natural beauty with a small river providing character to the course, which can be a challenge for both the amateur and the pro tour player.

Österåkers Golf Club has been host for three Ladies European Tour Championships. Annika Sörenstam, Laura Davies and Raquel Carreido have all had their victories on the Västerled Course. The Österåkers Golf Club has also hosted two Challenge Tour tournaments, two Swedish Championships, both for Junior’s as well as for the Men’s Team Championship.

This year in August, we will arrange the Swedish Championship in match play for men and women.

The course is normaly open for play in early spring. Our clubhouse has a popular restaurant with seats for 230 guests. 

Österåkers Golf Club has 2000 active members and we really enyoj to arrange big tournaments such as The European Amateur Team Championship in 2010.
